Headquartered in San Francisco, we are a wealth management team that provides services and strategies to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. The Tenets of Our Investment ApproachWe focus on four key aspects of investment management: (1) Asset allocation; (2) Portfolio rebalancing; (3) Manager selection; and (4) Cost containment. These tenets are not flashy, but they are effective. We bring a straight-talk approach to the markets, eschewing fads for tried-and-true principles. We move beyond traditional portfolio analyses of net worth, focusing instead on “net keep” – what a client retains after taxes and fees. Our cost-sensitive emphasis advances a client’s interests, providing more accurate barometers of returns. Our team is particularly adept in investment management, with decades of experience in fixed income, equities, and alternative investments*. We have refined our strategy over numerous market cycles and varied environments; we offer judgment, maturity, and the wisdom of humility.

For these reasons, access to alternative investments may be limited to investors who are designated as sophisticated, high-net-worth investors.

We work with a number of senior executives, entrepreneurs, business owners, family offices, and individual families who encounter critical junctures in their financial lives. As members of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch, we do not dabble in high-net-worth issues; we exclusively cater to time-sensitive needs of affluent clients. We know first- hand the value of strategic planning, particularly relative to liquidity events and their tax, investment, and philanthropic implications. Throughout client engagements, we work closely with clients’ external tax and legal advisors, spearheading cohesive strategies that encompass the many moving parts of significant wealth.
