Tony daRoza is a Managing Director and Private Wealth Advisor within Merrill Private Wealth Management. Tony and his team focus on a simple goal: to make work optional for clients. Tony applies the knowledge and skills he has gained from more than two decades in wealth management to advance client interests, restore client free time, and promote client satisfaction.
Tony began his financial services career in 1989. His previous firms include Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and its predecessors, where he served as a director in the Private Wealth Management Division. Throughout his career, Tony has worked closely with entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and their top employees. He is particularly adept in developing customized strategies and services that reflect client priorities, such as wealth preservation and enhancement, intergenerational wealth transfer, and charitable giving.
Tony received his B.S. in Finance and Banking from San Francisco State University. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation, sponsored by the Investments & Wealth Institute™ (The Institute) at the Wharton School.
Tony, his wife, and their two daughters live in Hillsborough, California.
David Waitrovich and team are deeply committed to helping clients employ their wealth to make a positive impact on their lives, their families, and the organizations and causes they feel strongly about.
David Waitrovich began his wealth management career in 1982; he joined Merrill four years later. David works exclusively with ultra-high net worth families. He and his fellow team members draw on their extensive experience and the resources of Bank of America and Merrill to pursue the goals of the family. As David says – “We do the math. We always run the numbers. Families find our disciplined, holistic approach very helpful in helping them make informed decisions, especially on important questions such as their income and cash flow planning”.
David has experience with a broad range of financial goals and issues. This includes entrepreneurs selling their businesses and preparing for life after the sale, founders of companies and venture capitalists owning large, concentrated amounts of stock in one company, senior executives of public companies navigating restricted stock units and options, and families going through all transitions of life, such as inheritance, death and divorce.
The “advisor to the family” relationship starts with a deep conversation clarifying the objectives and needs of the family. From that point he and the team do the analyses on potential strategies and outcomes. David is particularly adept in helping families identify their real-life goals. He offers a rigorous analytical review in assessing client investments, cash flow/income needs, tax-minimization strategies, and intergenerational wealth transfer vehicles. This is integrated with behavioral coaching designed to build skills in the family and help them practice positive techniques so their wealth lasts.
In 2022, Forbes awarded David a top-50 position in their “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” List (Published on April 7, 2022. Rankings based on data as of June 30, 2021). Barron’s Magazine has named David one of the Top Financial Advisors in America State by State from the inception of the accolade in 2009 consecutively through 2016 (Published annually February – March. Rankings based on data as of September 30 of prior year). In addition, David was also named Financial Times 2014 and 2015 Top 400 Advisor list (Published annually Mar – April. Rankings based on data as of June 30 of prior year).
David earned his B.S. in Economics and Business Administration from St. Mary’s College. In 2008 he was awarded with an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from JFK University. He is a Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) professional.
He and his wife Maria reside in Alamo, California and Scottsdale, Arizona. They have four adult children.
