Bruce Munster is a principal of the Munster Freeman Group, a M&A-focused wealth advisory practice within Merrill Private Wealth Management. Located in Century City, CA and Denver, CO the Munster Freeman Group oversees more than $3.5 billion as of December 31, 2022. Clients include inventors, entrepreneurs, professional entertainers, professional investors, as well as the heads of investment banks and private equity firms. Bruce and his team advise clients on their personal wealth management concerns related to M&A transactions in a variety of industries, including technology, specialty finance, consumer products, business services and real estate.
Bruce has garnered a number of national honors as a Financial Advisor. Forbes named Bruce on their annual “Top Wealth Advisors” list 2018-2022 (Published annually Aug –Oct. Bruce earned his B.S. in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University, while he participated on the varsity wrestling team, worked part-time and raised a young family. His experiences as a young dad have greatly helped him both in life and business. He lives in Scottsdale, AZ with his high school sweetheart, Therese and their three children: Samuel, Bruce Jr., and Haifa. He and his family support several charitable organizations including Boys and Girls Clubs, National Christian Foundation, Strong Workforce Apprenticeship Group (SWAG) and Cornell University Wrestling.

David Freeman is a principal of the Munster Freeman Group at Merrill Private Wealth Management. Skilled in diverse asset classes and investment vehicles, David manages the team’s municipal fixed income, taxable fixed income, and preferred investment portfolios. In addition, he oversees concentrated equity risk management, and customized credit and lending solutions for the team. David has garnered numerous awards as a Financial Advisor. Samuel Munster is a principal of the Munster Freeman Group at Merrill Private Wealth Management. In addition, Samuel is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designee with experience working with business owners in the wealth planning related to their exits.
Prior to being a Private Wealth Manager, Samuel has worked under Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and Merrill Private Wealth Management since 2016 in a number of roles including retail advisor and private wealth relationship manager.
Samuel earned his B.A. in Philosophy at Loyola Marymount University, and lives in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife Sandra and daughter Layla.
Tanja brings over fifteen years of small business experience. She holds a certificate in Private Capital Markets and has an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® professional, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. and also holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations and Certified Investment Management Analyst, CIMA designation. Tanja is currently the Co-Chair of West Region LEAD (Leadership, Education, Advocacy and Development) for Women, a volunteer women's organization with in Bank of America. Tanja received her MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business & Management.
Besides being a wealth planner, Tanja leads business operations for the Munster Freeman Group. She conducts daily team meetings and drives operational excellence. Her leadership is essential to drive excellent client experience and deepen relationships.
Tanja resides in Los Angeles with her two daughters, Ariana & Elisa. Away from the office Tanja enjoys art & design, reading, yoga and walking by the beach. Tanja is a devoted Christian and volunteers her time with Christian Focus Group and Women Doing Well. Tanja currently holds a Board Member seat with Humansave, a non-profit organization that provides support to rescued human trafficked victims.
Allen Mercer is a Private Wealth Investment Management Specialist with the Munster Freeman Group within Merrill Private Wealth Management. Prior to the Munster Freeman Group, Allen was Founder and Chief Investment Officer of multiple startups focused on managing institutional and private client assets in cash equities, derivatives, fixed income, and alternatives. He held investment strategy and portfolio manager positions at Capital Group (American Funds), City National Bank (RBC), and Jensen Investment Management. His private market experience includes CFO and finance related roles for a life science venture capital fund and intellectual property holding company, as well as a capital solutions consultant for a pre-clinical medical device company.
Allen resides in Los Angeles with his wife Helen and son Lucas. Away from the office, Allen enjoys traveling the world and visiting his family vineyard, where they have been planting grapes in Horse Heaven Hills since 1972. He is an active angel investor, avid runner, and plays competitive soccer on the weekends. Allen is philanthropic and has served on the Foundation Board of the Portland Japanese Garden since 2016.
Allen received his MBA in Finance from Willamette University and BSc in Finance from Oregon State University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and is an active member of the CFA® Society of Los Angeles and Seattle.

Danielle Madick is a Senior Private Wealth Client Associate with the Munster Freeman Group within Merrill Private Wealth Management. She recently joined the Munster Freeman Group having been with Wells Fargo Advisors and Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor. She has over thirty-five years of experience in the finance and investment community previously holding positions in sales and marketing, trading, operations, compliance and management.
With her extensive background, Danielle delivers an exceptional client experience. She strives to deliver a high level of professionalism and personal services to the ultra-wealthy and their professional advisors. She is highly organized, detail oriented and enjoys working with technology and people.
Danielle was born and raised in Los Angeles and studied Health Sciences and Finance at California State University at Northridge and University of California at Los Angeles. Having recently returned to Southern California after living many years in Sonoma County wine country, Danielle now lives in West Los Angeles with her Irish Setter, Bailee. In her spare time she enjoys international travel to exotic destinations to experience new cultures and cuisines, biking along the beach, swimming, playing tennis and spending time with family and friends. She also volunteers her time as a mentor and fundraiser in connection with UCLA’s Fulfillment Fund organization.
Heidi Van Grove is a Private Wealth Client Associate with the Munster Freeman Group within Merrill Private Wealth Management. Heidi is closely attuned to the needs of ultra-affluent clients and their family members assisting them with a range of administrative and operational requests.
She has extensive experience working with entrepreneurs, high-profile individuals, their attorneys and business managers as well as their foundations, trusts, and corporate entities. Highly efficient, organized and thorough, Heidi also advances clear communication with a client’s external tax, legal and professional advisors. She is knowledgeable about processing of credit services.
Heidi joined the Munster Freeman Group in 2012 at Morgan Stanley and moved with the team when they joined Merrill. She began her career at Oppenheimer in Westwood, California and then to Morgan Stanley in Westwood working with a multi-billion dollar wealth management team.
Heidi graduated from Sawyer College with a degree in Business and a minor in Psychology. She was born in Casablanca, Morocco; her native language is French.
Heidi lives in Woodland Hills, California with her husband Bob. As an accomplished equestrian, Heidi competes in the Hunter Jumper arena and enjoys spending time with her German Shepherd, Danny. Heidi is a fundraiser for various charities including the American Cancer Society, Leukemia Foundation and March of Dimes.
Ricky Levy is a Wealth Management Specialist with the Munster Freeman Group within Merrill Private Wealth Management. Ricky holds his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, CRPC designation awarded by The College for Financial Planning Institutes Corp. Prior to joining the Munster Freeman Group, he partnered with Private Wealth teams across Texas and Colorado as a Wealth Management Banking Specialist for Bank of America. With over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, Ricky brings unique skills and talents to provide clients with his banking acumen focusing on superior client service from a holistic investment and banking point of view.
Ricky’s experience spans across the banking industry in a variety of business lines, including business banking, commercial lending, consumer auto lending and consumer banking at both Bank of America and formerly Capital One. He has extensive experience working closely with ultra-high net worth individuals, C-level executives, entrepreneurs, and families seeking guidance for generational wealth. He is known for providing clients with the tools and resources they need and deserve with a one touch, white glove personal relationship.
Ricky resides in Plano, TX, but will be in LA permanently in the summer of 2023. He has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Biology from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. When he is not working, Ricky is often at the top of the Peloton leaderboard, enjoying time with his son, watching or playing sports, or spending time with loved ones in the Los Angeles area. As an avid UT football fan, Ricky will always be wearing burnt orange on Saturday’s while cheering on the Longhorns. Ricky is very philanthropic and has partnered with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, and his local community thru his Synagogue.
